No FACTS, just TRUTH!
When talking to the religious people of His time, Jesus quoted Psalm 82:6. He reminded them that He called them gods, with a small g. In both, Hebrew and Greek, the translation means judges or representatives of God. Those who are in positions of worldly authority.
If you keep reading, Jesus was reminding us worldly judges not to be partial in our judgment because we too will be judged by the highest judge, who is God. So, we cannot connect Genesis 1:26 with Psalm 82:6 and say that we are God. That is blasphemous! Let's set the record straight about this as well. God is not the universe! He created the universe. My son can't be me, because he came out of me. So, how can God be something He created. The universe came out of Him, just like everything else.
Some people talk like they are wise, don't be deceived because what they say may sound deep. Don't let anyone tell you anything different, as I have heard some say. Stick with scripture and pray.
